When Marie-Laure, the mother of 4 young children, is suddenly told that she only has a few months to live, her only thought is for her children’s happiness and future. Determined to ensure that they grow up together, she is stonewalled by the social services with a firm no for an answer.
Disgusted, Marie-Laure refuses to give up. With the help of her friends and family she fights a relentless battle against a system she considers absurd.
